So much fun but needs an update and you need to turn off "authentication for purchase" to avoid crashing. Using the LG G Pad F7 If you are a fan of the original Civilization Revolution you will love it. It's almost identical to Civ Rev, but with an updated user interface and polished graphics. Save often because the game does crash. I lost hours of gameplay troubleshooting various crashes and I almost lost it. However, I am determined to get this game to work on my tablet! I was able to avoid the offline app approval crash by going to the Play Store, then settings menu, then turn off authentication for purchase. If you don't disable this, your game will eventually crash and lose all unsaved gameplay. Make sure you don't turn screen rotation off/on during gameplay to avoid a possible crash. If you have power save/screen dim activated your game might crash upon waking up from screen dim. Very fun, but it needs an update.

I love the Civ games and even really enjoy this game. But for paying $9.99 for an app I wanted all of the features to work. There are no in-game settings to adjust, to fix the problem myself. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and no luck on getting the online to work. The app just defaults to offline mode. If all the features worked on this game this would be a five star review, but I cannot justify spending $10 on an app that doesn't fully work. I am disappointed...

Get the first one It's weird to have a sequel to a game, albeit a mobile game, to have LESS features than the original. By itself, it has the unique civilization feel watered down by far too much streamlining, for example: you cannot raze cities. Performance is also a problem, huge frame rate drops when just about anything happens (Samsung Galaxy Avant brand new)

Runs descent but tablet is very warm. Seems typical of the series, not bad, I like xcom better but still, isn't the disappointment I expected tbh. Crashes frequently, has became the disappointment I expected in the first 24 hours. Update: finally finished a full map but noticed it saves nothing for achievements that you do other than watching the credits.. No point in achievements.. In other words there are a few leaders you'll never be able to use if you can't do the achievements, nullifies them even being there.. The one guy wrote in his review that this was a farmville knockoff, while untrue it certainly is true as well. This isn't quality, its unprofessional really. Live events are pointless due to crashing as well.

Great mobile version of Civ While it is a streamlined and more basic version of Civ, it draws heavily from Civ IV and earlier games. The core Civ gameplay is here, but simpler controls and options, and made so you can play a few turns without having to lose entire nights like a full Civ game, although you certainly can. I still recommend Civ IV or V over it, but it is a worthy Civ game.

Fun and play when you want This game is great just like the other civilization mobile game and for the Xbox 360. Couldn't wait for it to come out very enjoyable and to the guy who said it was like farmville that's a lie nothing like that at all. Has a great save feature and lot of leaders to choose from.

Love Civ, but this isn't deserving of its price. I absolutely love playing civilization. I own it for the pc, console and even have the original Civ:: Rev. This game has a few new features to make it interesting but I have encountered so many errors while playing that I wish I would've refunded my purchase when I had the chance. I am constantly having to restart the game as it freezes constantly and crashes at will. Playing a game takes twice as long when dealing with this. I regularly have the UI screen disappear in my cities. Developers please fix!
Game gave me a domination victory with 0/4 capitals taken! I had 7/8 economic milestones and hadn't attempted any town takeovers. Should have gotten the achievement for an economic victory :/ Super fun game though, worth what I paid. one thing I'd change: I don't need to watch my units travel on roads or water. It wastes time and is frustrating.
Great Game but Buggy The game is very well designed, but it crashes every two minutes. It makes it unplayable. Other than that, I have no complaints. Too bad I can't play it. I wouldn't recommend wasting money on this just to see "CivRev 2 has crashed."
Needs a fix! It looks like a lot of fun, but I can only play for 5-10 minutes before the game screen goes black and returns me to the home screen. This kind of game needs hours, not 10 minutes. Unplayable
Would be 5 stars except for the fact that the games are so short. Would be so much better if there was an option to make turns last x amount of years, rather then taking away 500 years to learn the alphabet. 30 minutes isn't enough time. It would be way better, seriously consider it guys. Or an endless mode.
One of the best games on Android Brings Civ's series back to life. If you've enjoyed civilization in the past, than you'll enjoy this. One of the original #TBS video game that has been often imitated, but truly never duplicated.
Good Rev with some extra tech and corresponding wonder, building, unit optimized to cell touch screen controls. Works great. Small problem getting tournament and challenge to add score to global lists on WiFi a Google connected.
VERY Buggy It's a simplified version of the PC game, but has WAY too many bugs! I'm on a Galaxy S4. I am a software developer, and this should not have been released like it is. City controls disappear, turn ends automatically without my direction, great people are announced in my city, then disappear. The list goes on and on. I expected more from a Sid Meier game...& $15 to boot!!!
Great tablet game Thanks for making a great game with no in-app purchases, subscription, or microtransactions. I paid the full $14 before the price drop and have had no regrets. The game is good, crashes sometimes, but other than a few crashes, it plays well and is fun.
Best strategy game I've played on android Works great on nexus 7 with latest update. Only bad battery drain pricy and locks up occasionally. Great on a play tablet. Wouldnt use it on my phone though.
Interruption If the Google allow thing doesn't stop appearing and messing me up then I will get my money back. Now it keeps crashing you guys need to fix this or you lose not only a fan but another customer.
Great game I love this game. I really wish you would make a new game for Ps4. Also id like a game mode that doesnt end in one of the four victories. Id like to be able to build up my cities 100% and the game would only end when you control everything and wipe out all other civilizations.
Finally Download Will not download, gets all the way to 99% then stops and gives an error. After several tries it finally downloaded and installed. Will rate higher if game functions properly.
Greatest broken game I would give it *, but it was sooo much fun while it worked. Down loaded it and played it ALL day...until it crashed. Now it won't load my saved game. It said "loading" for an hour until i gave up.
The best on mobile! If you want the classic Civilization experience, it doesn't come any closer than this. A few things have been eliminated from the experience (no workers, for example), but the streamlined touch interface more than makes up for that.
My all time favorite I absolutely love this game. I've been playing this on my 360 for years and it's very similar to the app version. Don't play it on 360 anymore because I now have a xbox 1. There is a glitch in the game were you can't go to your city options and build or reset workers. You have to save back out and restart. If they can fix this I will give this game a 5 star. I can't wait for them to add more and work out all the bugs.
Avid Civ'er Would be great with an update to fix stability on all these various platforms. ... last updated 2014?? Frequency of crashes makes the game unplayable. I gave you money, we all did, please fix it ;)
Civilization revolution 2 simply takes what the original had and expands on it, and it works. There are some issues, mainly the fact that the new character designs are nowhere near as good as the originals, but it's well worth your time
Lives up to Civ brand! Love this game. Worth the 💰. Great update and improvement over the first CivRev Mobile. Great graphics, multiple leaders per country, and unique units for each nation are terrific upgrades from last title. Biggest knock on the game is that each game is too short, lasting between two and four hours. With tons of achievements and unlockables, and with constantly updated scenarios, it keeps the replay value high. My second favorite mobile game behind Star Wars: KotOR. 5/5 🌟 easy
Super fun but eventually to easy It's an awesome game. It works really well & runs smooth. Definitely try it. Unfortunately the down side is that once you get good, the computer isn't really a challenge
Solid title! Found one bug, galley in open water that discovers Atlantis will remove its ability to move and defunct the lighthouse wonder. Other than that if you love the civ games this is a simplified version that is perfect for the mobile platform! 15 bucks is steep but the game play is solid and polished. I've had one crash but the game auto saves so its not a big deal. If you love civ then its worth the money! Played it in my note 4 and my nexus 7. Definitely prefer the tablet gameplay!
Good game, However I could not get any of the diplomatic options to work. I've always liked the game but it is much more fun when you can influence interactions between the A.I. Please fix this!!
Good but.. Its decent. I would have preferred a function that allows for a better "God's Eye" view of the game (straight down vice at an angle). Civ Rev 1 allowed to u to switch between the 2, so why not this one? The way you select units makes it harder to manage your troops. Why do i have to hold down to select them vice just selecting them in Civ Rev 1? Well, thats $10 ill never see again.
Works well enough I suppose... not many differences between this and the 1st game. But I'm just glad to have civ back in my life. Any way I'm writing this review to report a bug. Not sure what triggers it but the city panel doesn't work sometimes... the camera snaps to the city and acts just as it should... I can pinch/spread like normal but the menus/buttons just aren't there... saving, closing the app, and restarting fixes it for a little while so I guess it aint that big of a deal.
Good game but.. Can't load any units into the new transport aircraft, bug? Also when starting as America, JFK, cant produce archer units even after researching bronze,, bug? Please fix, because I'm a fan of the civilization series and would love to give 5 stars but just can't under the circumstances. Update: appears fixed.
Great game For civ fan... a must if u want a tablet edition gj dev note that this game is not like the pc version its just on tablet less micro management more friendly user
Not like usual PC civilization game, oversimplified too much 1) There is no option for conquest victory. Game ends after set turns even if you pick conquest. Plz allow unlimited turns. 2) I liked civ 1 over this, better graphics at the cost for game complexity really kills it for me. 3) Please fix battery drain. 4) Multiplayer option would greatly increase replay value.
Fun But Full Of Bugs I'm enjoying the game, especially at the sale price but it's very buggy. The city menus disappear all the time and trying to click the icon above units stops working. Every time I have to reboot the game but that doesn't always fix the issues. If they'd fix the bugs and keep the price point low this would be a 4-5 star game for sure.
Bad history If you're an achievement hunter prepare to be bored. Almost every achievement involving a civ requires a culture victory like 10 out of 16. "win as Arabs with culture. Win as Aztec with culture" AND it's like the development don't even know history, like the Russians achievement requires you to have an American great wonder and the Spanish require a Greek wonder. It's a bit easier than original mobile civ rev which is nice (civ rev 1 was stupid hard) but a little too much easier.
Good Good game. Runs smooth. I have no issues with it. Has very similar gameplay as PS3 version civ lV. I wouldn't expect gameplay to be like PC version, that's just dumb. Other reviews say it freezes or force close, I have a cheap phone (LG Stylo) and played for hours once downloaded, no issues yet. Then again Im running with 2 gigs of ram. Sometimes its the app, sometimes its the phone.
Can't disband units, Special forces aren't actually useful You need to be able to sell obsolete units. This is a key piece of strategy in the console version and should be included in all editions of the game. The special forces units aren't actually an improvement on the infantry unit. They just switch the attack and defence stats. You should either be able to build both or the special forces should have at least the same defence as infantry.
A mockery of what civilization should be This game, although playable, takes all the core mechanics of civilization that we know and love then dumbs them down to the point that this game starts to have little to no strategy involved in it. If you're looking for a good strategy game and have a powerful device if recommend 2k's much truer port of xcom.
Love it but.. I just recently purchased this game and so far i love but, I cannot seem to open the town menu by doing the "2 finger spread motion" no matter what I try and i cannot find instruction manuals anywhere. Only way i found to so something was to close and restart the game which is quite annoying...
Good but needs to fix some bugs Sometimes can't see the menu when you go into the city, have to save and reload. My biggest pet peavey for the game is I can't seem to unlock any leaders in the game no matter how many times I successfully complete the objectives. Please fix this and I will give 5 stars.
