Description
Neuroshima Hex is a fast paced, tactical board game where up to 4 players (human or AI) lead their troops to victory. Every player controls one of the four armies struggling for influence and survival in the world destroyed in a 30 years long war. March with the machines of Moloch, leading its army towards setting the new world order. Become Borgo and unite the forces of the mutants who spread terror in the wastelands. Lead The Outpost - humanity's last and only hope and try to beat the machines in an uneven guerrilla war. Be the boss of The Hegemony - land of gangers not caring about the fate of others and living only for violence and their mad entertainment.

The game works great for the most part. Unfortunately the "roll of the dice" can make a fight completely unwinnable already from the start without you knowing it. Among the default armies, blue appears to be superior, so a tiny bit of balancing there is needed as well. If playing with 3-4 players, no matter the skill level, the Ai annoyingly does not take the score into account, so one player might only have 5 hp left, while the other two have 19/20 left. Yet they might ignore each other (the actual threat) and keep hitting the guy that already lost instead of trying to secure a win. This is stupid, and unbalances the game.

New armies bring in fun dynamics leaving you thinking. One wrong move and you're toast! Once you master beating the ai, move on to multi-player. The new updates for fast forward moves is great. Purchased this on the iOS for past phone, and now on Google play. Contacted customer service in the past and had a prompt response.

Great time killer, if decide to buy all the other factions it will greatly spice up your game play, trust me its worth it (the price is debatable). Although the Android version lacks some things to the Apple version (online pvp, score board, ranking system), this game is what you pay for a card based board game, really great strategy game, highly recommend .

Originally gave this app 2 stars because it kept crashing. However, after contacting the developer, they were very quick to go over my crash reports and find the issue, solving it and posting an updated version within a week. Still testing to see if the problem is solved, but very impressed with this developer's customer service.

Excellent conversion of the board game. The older tiles were sleek and clean, really nice art that popped. Much like the newer version of the board game, they updated the tiles. New tiles are an over designed mess. They should have an option to choose between the two styles. Still a great game though.

Have to agree with other comments about the visual update. I know it's bringing the app in line with the physical game, but in both instances appealing, distinct design has been swapped out for something bland and unreadable. This has gone from my favourite game on the Android to something I find unpleasant to play. Like others, I am unlikely to play this again (or buy any further armies) without an option to switch back to the original design.

Changing back to 4 stars after finally finding the cause of the frequent first-move crashes (kernel-mode problem with encrypted storage). I enjoyed the game immensely and have purchased every expansion. Not having online multiplayer is a downside, but the AI is still enough to keep me entertained. However, the AI is rather weak in pointing tiles the right way, even at the highest AI level, so that should be looked at.
Changed rating from 5 stars to 1 after latest graphical update. This needs to be addressed immediately. It is nearly impossible to differentiate between symbols and like colors. Borders have disappeared entirely. Please give the option to choose old or new tiles at least.
Still has bugs resolving battles when skipping animations quickly. Also I do wish the game was less random / luck based, but it's true to the boardgame. Online multiplayer on Android would be nice, so would the ability to replay the battles.
Love this game, prices are questionable but content is good. AI is good but could be improved. Frequent crashes on all android versions, progress is not lost but :| . And when will we finally get multiplayer ? Please, please.
A very good game that takes abstract strategy gaming to a fast and fun place. Very tight and compact game that still allows for differences in play styles. Would recommend. Only downfall is no online play. Really really would benefit from ability to play against friends online. But that's my only complaint. AI makes for a challenging opponent and you can play PvP with pass and play mode.
Needs online multiplayer I absolutely love this game! Amazing and fun. The expansions are well designed and balanced. The only complaint I have which is why I gave it 3 stars instead of 5 is the lack of online multiplayer support. The fact its on ios and not android is not fair.
2 fixes needed badly!! 1) Years later, and STILL no online multiplayer for Android. 2) AI is subpar with certain armies (Smart, Dancer). Remains great fun, definitely worth your time and money.
App is decent but, lack of muliplayer mode lowers the rating. it quickly gets boring even with additional armies
Good game, fun gameplay and pretty good AI (it kida feels like it cheats sometimes though) the DLC it a bit expencive. Had to Pay for hd graphics too?? But a fun stratagy game.
No online support for android? Bought this on the recommendation of a friend who uses the iPhone version so we could play against each other. No support for online play at all. Ripped off.
I only give this a 4 because the apple store version has more features(undo move and Internet game) that are not in this version. I would happily pay a bit more to get these features; especially if you're trying out a new army expansion for the first time. The game itself though? Exceeds expectations of a game and app implementation. Well done!
Online multiplayer Does it exist for android? And if so, how do you set up and online multiplayer game?
Didn't even get to play, when I saw they wanted more money just to play in HD, I figured the devs are greedy assholes . I want nothing to do with them. Refunded right away.
I'm not in favor of the change in graphic style and the AI take way too long to take its move. Used to be my #1 go to game for years until now.
Great game £1.39 for one new army is too much though.
Great fun After the last fixes the game is back to being great even though the AI stil needs a lot improvement.
Portal is publishing amazing Boardgame Keep porting them to Android!
Bought add-ons on a tablet, but need to buy one more time on a phone
Excellent implementation of my favorite abstract board game. Great at 2 players.
Multiplayer Love the game, would be great to play with friends, via facebook, or google.
Great installment of the boardgame Absolutely loved the boardgame and the app is living up to the name! The only thing nagging at me is that either there is a bug with the push back tiles where in some instances it won't allow me to push any enemy unit even though I am adjacent and there is an available hex beside it or there somehow is a rule as to how my units must be oriented to push?? Any help is greatly appreciated. Keep up the great work!!!
Great strategy fun. (Revised review) Recent "updates" have made card help texts virtually unreadable. Quite a step back. Uninstalled and disappointed. -. Previously:. Excellent, quick-to-play strategy game. (Now only needs the multi-player update and some cool stat-tracking.)
Great game Only has two faults: it occasionally miscalculates scores (very seldomly) and when you restart a game the hex order is identical. Apart from this the factions are truly unique and gameplay is a good mix of strategy and luck. Oh, I thought of another, slightly more significant fault, the AI is quite slow.
Very fun, more wanted This game has a lot of fun variety of playstyles. Each game is different, and that makes it very fresh and strategic. Would love to see a team mode and more armies, but I don't think this is being supported anymore. Online multiplayer would be neat, but I don't think enough people play this to have queue times be tolerable.
Just add 1 feature pleaseeee! This is a FANTACTICAL (fantastically tactical) game! Its really needs a Win/Loss Tracker listing factions played, opponents faced and final score.
